Thank you to everyone for your amazing response to our fundraising event today. The children were fantastic and really got involved in the activities. Thank you to those parents who were able to join us to walk with and cheer the children on. Thank you to Mrs Sims for organising the event and ensuring it took place without any problems. Please do as much as you can to collect sponsor money over the next week so that we can get as close to our target as possible and help Cafod to provide a health centre for a community in desperate need.
Cafod does an amazing job in helping adults and children who find themselves in extremely difficult circumstances due to both natural and man-made catastrophes. In Rerum Novarum Pope Leo wrote that it is the Church’s ‘desire is that the poor should rise above poverty and wretchedness, and should better their condition in life; and for this it strives’. As a Catholic community we must join the Church in striving to help those suffering ‘poverty’ in its many forms.
A big thank you to all our children and families – you do so much to help the local and wider community and we are very proud to be part of such a giving family.
