Year 2 is a great year to be in, we will try hard to make all your lessons enjoyable and creative by using drama, role play and using lots of resources. However, we still expect you to carry on growing as independent learners and continue building on the good practices you started in year 1.
In Year 2 we will continue building on your phonics knowledge and working towards making you even more confident and independent in your writing as well as helping you to write for longer periods. We hope you will enjoy being introduced to a wider range of books and types of writing. You will continue to expand your knowledge of numbers and during the year we will introduce you to time, fractions and even roman numerals! You will get to learn even more about different objects in the world around you in Science and in History you will learn about significant events and people from the past that have shaped our future.
We look forward to you joining us on our exciting journey!
