Writing Week – January 2015

19th January
We had some special story boxes delivered for each class in assembly this morning.  We were all very excited about what might be inside.

20th January

Ann Bryant an author and poet of over 100 books came to visit us today.  She wowed us with stories, singing, action and drama.

It was great fun to participate.

21st January

Today our morning was a bit special.

Our parents came to school to write with us and in some cases we could write whatever we wanted.

Diary extracts, poems, letters and stories.

Our imaginations ran wild and so did our pencils!

22nd January

We were very lucky to have not one but two live authors in the building this week.  Some of the younger members of the school were treated to a reading and question and answer session from Rose Mannering. She read us her book Spotty Dotty Daffodil and happily answered the children’s questions which they were very enthuastic to ask.
